How to melt your beeswax after you've checked your bees and harvested your honey
Solar wax melters
double boilers (do not bring wax to an actual boil, just melt it)
a crock pot ($5 at Goodwill !)
Steps:
freeze the wax before using it
place wax in a cheesecloth or fine paint strainer etc. to remove any possible bee parts, or other things you do not want in your wax.
if using a crock pot, fill with water and set bag/ strainer of wax in/ above the water. Hot wax will settle in the water and remove the strainer with the other bits. Let the water/ wax cool and you have a clean disc of wax
